We had a busy week here! This week, we spent more time discussing problem sizes and reaction sizes. The above photos help to identify what size a given problem/reaction should be. Students spent time coloring apples on apple trees regarding the size of problems that they may encounter with peers, at home or at school. These led to interesting conversations with the different groups. We also finished (and finally hung) the candy corn triangles that depict problem and reaction sizes. We also had some pesky assessments that crept in and took some of our group time.
I was sick on Thursday, so some of my younger groups read a book called How to Lose all of Your Friends. The kids love this silly book that highlights all of the wrong ways to make friends.
New to our website is a great new resource! Tracie Schanen, our AMAZING OT has created her very own YouTube channel to highlight and demonstrate some fine motor and sensory activities. It is listed under OT which is located under Resources. There are no videos on there yet, but Tracie said she would be working on it this weekend. Keep an eye out for her debut!
The joke this week was: "Where do baby ghosts go during the day? To a daySCARE center!"
The emotional word of the week was: terrified. The children wrote it in their books under "Scared".
Have a super weekend!
