I hope you all had a great week! We LOVED the sunshine and the chance to get outside each day for recess! This week, we read some books for our book brackets, learned about personal space, worked on some anger strategies, and worked on our literacy strategies. On Monday, we read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. This is one of my favorite books of all time, so I loved reading it to the kids. We made some connections and talked about personal bad days. The fourth graders also spent time organizing their Superflex Notebooks. On Tuesday, we read If You Are Angry and You Know It. We talked about ways to handle being angry. On Thursday, we read When I'm Feeling Scared. We talked about fear, worries and anxiety. We also watched a video about personal space. You can find it on the Hidden Curriculum page under the Resource tab. On Friday, we read The Feelings Book by Todd Parr. We also played some games and finished up some work that needed to get done!
The joke of the week was:
"What do you call a happy cowboy?
A jolly rancher!"
Have an awesome week!
