Although we worked on our Circles books for a few days, we also took some time to make a summer bucket list of things that the kids want to do over the summer. Hang on to these when they come home (5th graders brought them home yesterday, 4th grade will probably bring them home next week) so that when the summer boredom blues hit, you have some ideas that they have generated.
On Friday, we played some games and enjoyed sharpening our saw together.
As the school year begins to wrap up, our schedules will become less predictable. I will be planning activities for social skills, but often the classroom teachers' schedules change to fit in last minute things. My job is to help the kids roll with this and participate in as many things as they are able. As a result, we may not cover as much as we typically do in social skills the last few weeks. That's all part of the end of the year roller coaster! Stay tuned!
Joke of the week: "What do you call a dog on the beach? A hot dog!"
