Last week, we did a lot of cool activities in social skill groups. We watched some movie clips about Being Proactive on Monday. We talked about how proactive people solve their problems and reactive people wait for other people to solve problems for them. I've included the clips to watch at home. On Tuesday, I was at an in-district meeting, so the students read the story about Being Proactive in our 7 Habits book. They also made a spooky Halloween house by following written directions with positional words. On Thursday, I was at another in-district meeting. The children heard the story about Beginning with the End in Mind out of the 7 Habits book. We had fun discussing it on Friday. We also enjoyed a game day on Friday. This week is Halloween, so check your child's classroom teacher's communication for details. There will be a school-wide parade at 3:30 on Friday. It should be Spook-tacular!
