This week, we brought back the joke of the week and the Emotional Vocabulary Word of the week! Keep reading to find out what they were!
We spent some more time this week talking about expected behaviors and unexpected behaviors. We read one of my favorite books-- (I feel like I say "one of my favorite books" a lot--but there's so many great ones!)--Crankenstein! This book is a cute story about a crabby boy who realizes how silly he looks and sounds when he sees another child being a "Crankenstein". We used this story to talk about expected/unexpected behaviors. We also finished up some assessing this week and the children had a game day with Mrs. Szalay. We were busy!
Please remember that I am scheduled to be out Monday-Thursday this week. If you need to change your child's schedule or pick up, please let the office know so the message will get to the program staff.
The joke this week was:
What does a cat eat on a hot, summer day?
MICE-cream!
Our emotional word of the week was: delighted, which the children wrote in their social skills notebooks under "Happy".
Have a great weekend and play outside--it's supposed to be beautiful!
