I hope you're enjoying another extra long weekend! We had a great week at school! This week, we read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. I love this book to show how some days can feel really overwhelming and impossible. Then we had a conversation about how to handle days like this. We also did some comprehension activities to make connections and learn about cause and effect. On Tuesday, we made some beautiful "stained glass" hearts that are being displayed in the hallway. We learned how to receive a valentine that we don't like or that is from a person we don't like. On Thursday, we caught up on some work and passed out valentines.
The joke of the week was:
"What did the octopus ask the other octopus?
Can I hold your hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand?"
**Please check the calendar for a district-wide change. April 29 (formerly an early release day) will now be a FULL day for students. There will be NO SCHOOL on May 5 due to an election. Mark your calendars!**
