Leah and Cameron showcase their art skills!
Happy Friday! It's been a busy week, with Halloween and our school elections! This week, we spent some time talking about feeling faces. I gave the kids a "quiz" of sorts and asked them to draw features of faces in each of these feelings. They did a great job of remembering the different characteristics of emotions that we learned a few weeks ago! And we had some fun creating Minions--because they're all the rage around here!
We also read about being Thankful and talked a bit about the election to prime students for their voting responsibilities this past Wednesday. It is fun to hear what they think about our government and the candidates. We also enjoyed playing some games this week. The big kids played Halloween BINGO and did really well.
Our joke this week was:
"What is the most important subject a witch learns in school?
Spelling!"
Our emotional word of the week was "startled" which the students wrote under "scared"
Have a great weekend!
