Rules are always being taught and reviewed but this week we focused on rules as they relate to expected and unexpected behaviors. The older students reviewed their social detective notebooks and we began a social detective mobile project that we will hang in our room. The younger kids will work on this next week. 1st graders reviewed rules, expected and unexpected and continued working on identifying emotions with picture cards. We had a shorter week with PD (or PL as they are calling it now for Professional Learning) and some of the kids took their first MAP test of the year. That is always stressful for our kids, but they made it! We continue to dive into the Social Detective curriculum as we review items from last year and continue to grow as social thinkers. Stay tuned! When they are done I will post a picture of them hanging.
