Welcome back! And to one new friend, welcome! We have a new first grade student, Ryan, who joined us this week. As we got back into routines, we wasted no time jumping back into the swing of things! The kids had some pre-tests for math and we had lots of conversations about break. We asked questions about what the kids did, who they saw, and their favorite parts. The second graders, Mrs. Szalay and I talked about giving the right amount of information. We took some pictures of the sign we taught them to show too much talking and just the right amount of talking. I will post those this week. Then, we practiced and modeled our listener being really bored. We took pictures of feeling happy and feeling bored and they looked at them. We role played the just right length and the too long length. Mrs. Szalay pulled younger kids for game day and we had speech and OT! For the most part, even though it was a short week we kept up our routines. The temps were so cold that we stayed inside. Thanks for sending in the winter gear just in case. Hope you had a nice weekend!
