Sorry for the delay. Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. Last week we did some love activities for Valentine's Day to prepare for the Friday festivities. I also continued my reading assessments. Tuesday, Mrs. Szalay played games with the kids. The kindergarten kids worked on beginning our MAPS unit for Social Studies. We studied a map and wrote out things we saw or noticed and then Mrs. Wolff and I modeled our wonderings. This was hard, so modeling was best. We listed those things as well. Everyone did a nice job on our half day Friday. I spent most of the day in kindergarten helping kids pass out their Valentine's and work on various centers in their classrooms. Thank you to those of you who came to the Snuggle In. The kids were very excited. And those who didn't have someone from home were able to snuggle with their favorite stuffed animal and read with Mrs. Wolff. It was very sweet. This week I am sending home the kindergarten names in lower case for some extra practice. You can use a dry erase marker and erase it over and over.
I'm not quite sure how many are reading these blogs and utilizing our website for resources. If you are reading this, and see this secret code: LKWD please write a note to me (I found the secret code LKWD) and your child will receive a special prize.
Thank you if you are reading this pretty consistently. I try to target what we are working on so that it can be followed through in the home and we can be consistent. I appreciate the support and dedication of taking time to read through and follow up with any questions.
