Aww, our last week of school has finally arrived. I cannot believe how quickly this last little bit has gone. This week was filled with preparation. The kindergarten kids continued to be primed for graduation and what that would look like, sound like, and feel like to perform in front of parents in the library. They went into the library and ran through the songs (as well as practiced lots and lots with their class and with me). We also talked about the changes in our schedule this week. The first graders and I talked about ending the year and how our time together would be a bit less because of their party on Tuesday.
All the kids created a summer bucket list of a few things they would like to do this summer. This was another way to prep for the ending of our year and the break that is upon us.
I was so impressed Tuesday. I couldn't believe how grown up everyone looked. When I think back to September, I am reminded of how far they have come. We have changed each other-us them, and them us. For that I am thankful and my heart is full. I hope you read a little each day, play a lot, and know that in September when we return and your mind is filled with questions, I will be here to help you through. For now, relax and enjoy this time with your little ones.
Happy Summer,
Megan
