Happy Thanksgiving! I wish each of you a wonderful, restful break and a wonderful holiday!
I know I didn't post last weekend, but I thought I'd roll our short week into last week's information. We have had fun with the theme of turkeys this week. We made turkeys identifying things we are thankful for. We also read some books about being thankful for the people and things in our lives. The children also made turkeys about being flexible or rigid. Each child chose to make a flexible turkey (<patting myself on the back>) and they wrote scenarios in which people could be flexible on each of their turkey feathers. They are cute and we had some great conversations around them! We also enjoyed a game day together. My husband and I have much to be thankful for this year--we are excited to share that we are expecting a baby in April! I know it's not for a while, but I've already been scoping good guest teachers to help out at the end of the year so as to maintain our good momentum!
I wish you a wonderful week filled with fun, family, friends and good food!
This week, our joke of the week was:
"What is the key to a great Thanksgiving dinner?
The turKEY!"
Our emotional word of the week was: "overjoyed". The children wrote it in their Social Skills Notebooks under Happy.
