It was a shortened week here. We were off on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and then today, we spent our Early Release Day at the pool! On Tuesday, we spent a lot of time talking about our weekends and asking questions. It seems like we do this a lot, but many of the children do not know how to inquire about, or show interest towards others or what is happening in their lives. Answering questions is also difficult, so we work on it a lot. On Thursday, we talked about sharpening the saw and taking care of our mind, heart, body and soul. The children began working on illustrated representations of what it means to them. We'll continue working on this and talking about it. On Friday, we went to the Lakeland High School pool! The kids were so excited and we had a great time! I'm really glad we did this on an early release day, because they were EXHAUSTED after our short walk and swimming. Photography is not allowed in the pool area so we couldn't take pictures to share, but seeing everyone smiling and playing was good for this teacher's heart. Thank you for making it possible to share this experience with them.
Have a refreshing weekend!
Oh, and the joke this week was wildly popular!
"How do snowmen greet each other? ICE to meet you!"
